Nice to see that James Chester is being noticed isn't it?

With the understandable hype surrounding John Terry, I think Chester often gets overlooked and he's been pretty outstanding for us all season. In fact, I'd personally say he's been rock solid.

So not surprised to see Aston Villa are represented by Chester in the latest Football League Team of the Week after the clash v Wolverhampton Wanderers. I forget the score, what was it again Vital Villans?

Some nice words of thanks from Snoddy... very upbeat in his praise of what is going on at Villa at the moment.

On loan West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass has said Steve Bruce knew exactly what he was getting from him when he signed him, but I think fans clearly misjudged his worth.

His arrival was mostly greeted by rightful good luck messages on Twitter and the occasional insult (I guess Hammers) questioning the number of moves he's made of late and the fact the move to the London Stadium didn't work out.

I have no intention of repeating the previous article and the way fan comments and thoughts changed as Snoddy started proving his worth to us with his performances - creating chances and goals scored.

I'm not sure who's taking inspiration from who of late, the senior side or Aston Villa's Under 23s as they helped themselves to another victory over Reading yesterday evening.

Having stuffed Wolverhampton Wanderers six one at Under 23 level (a first team omen maybe given a recent four one victory), Kevin MacDonald's young charges backed that up with victory over Ipswich Town in the Premier League Cup, but Monday saw us return to PL2 action with a clash against Reading at Walsall's Bescot Stadium.
