Grealish In Team Of The Week (12/2/18)

Grealish In Team Of The Week (12/2/18)

Aston Villa are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected following the clash with Birmingham City.

The performance by Jack Grealish in the two nil victory over Birmingham City at the weekend at Villa Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Grealish was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Grealish ran the show in the Second City derby win, claiming the Man of the Match award as the Villans racked up a seventh straight Championship victory and moved up to second.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Grealish for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Luke McGee (Portsmouth), Charlie Clough (Barnet), Michael Hector (Hull City), Matt Preston (Swindon Town), Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), John-Hoe O'Toole (Northampton Town), Jordan Clark (Accrington Stanley), Mohamed Eisa (Cheltenham Town), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Simon Cox (Southend United).

Manager - Derek Adams (Plymouth Argyle).

Traore a player we should have never got rid of. A real talent in the making, same goes for grealish. Never get rid of youth like that. It's where the real money is.

Strange that eh Beo lol And yes agree, Traore needed time and training but when signed by a manager who couldn't work out whether he wanted to sign him or not he was onto a loser sadly with us. Patience can be a beautiful thing with youngsters.
