Bruce Looking To Take His Good Form To Derby (Video)
Steve Bruce press conference before the six pointer against 'local` rivals Derby County.
With Derby leap frogging us in the table, it`s crucial we don`t hand them the win for this clash isn`t it? If the theory is right, that we are better away from home, then bring back the 3 points please.
He admits Villa will have to play better than they did against Millwall, who he re-states we found very difficult to play against. I`m not totally sure he`s right that Millwall were that big, that physical or that aggressive? It is (as he admits) just what the championship is.
Bruce says 'big game, big occasion` and it is something to look forward to. Derby are top of the form table.
He also talks about how unpredictable and how difficult the Championship is.
Bruce says on Johnstone 'we`d love him to stay` and goes on to say Villa are doing their best to keep him.
Even more injuries. Hutton and Samba are doubts, Hutton from a training injury. Samba from an injury he picked up v Millwall. Lansbury is sore from last week and probably won`t make it, Jedinak is in training and so is Gabby and Hogan so they might be in contention. John Terry has had a scan this week, things are progressing, so he might be available in a couple of weeks. They are also hoping that Andre Green can slowly but surely return to training, albeit with some caution over his recuperation.
Also sounds like Bruce has a good record taking teams to Derby County, lets hope that continues tomorrow. Come on you Villa boys.
