Jedinak Out For Around A Month Again
The shoulder injury Mile Jedinak picked up in our victory over Ipswich Town is going to keep him out for at least the next month to six weeks.
Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media today to discuss the upcoming game against Leeds United on Friday evening.
Having been substituted in the 26th minute of our two nil victory, Jedinak does have a shoulder injury and the news could yet get worse for him.
He saw a specialist last Monday and the hope is we'll see signs of healing this week and that would leave him sidelined for the 4-6 week mark.
However, if it's decided that an operation needs to be the way forward, he could miss the next three months.
'He went to see a specialist in Manchester on Monday. He`s been advised to rest and see how it is in the next week to see if it starts to heal itself. If it does, we can let nature takes its course and it could be six weeks then. If it doesn`t, then there will be an operation which will probably take the best part of 12 weeks. We hope the specialist is right and rest is sufficient. Then we could see him back in January.'
As for our overall injury situation at the minute, Bruce was pleased with how we have put a run of results together with so many key players missing.
'To be without Terry, Kodjia, Jedinak is a real blow to us because they are the spine of the team. Fair play to the squad for coping very well so far. In January, let`s hope we can add to us to help us along the way.'
