Tshibola Ditched By MK Dons - Is There A Way Back At Villa?

Tshibola Ditched By MK Dons - Is There A Way Back At Villa?

A tweet by MK Dons has confirmed that they have cut short the loan spell of Aaron Tshibola.

Robbie Neilson confirmed in his press conference this morning that Aaron Tshibola has returned to @AVFCOfficial. The Club would like to wish Aaron all the best for the future.

Ouch. Doesn`t bode well at all for the player does it?

The Dons fans certainly don`t appear to have been impressed. An article in says it all really. Tweets like Thanks for having him back lads and One of the worst players I have seen, genuinely was terrible. Was so excited to get him now I'm so glad he's gone.

With that said, the purchase of Aaron always seemed slightly odd didn`t it? Not the fact we wanted a 'hot prospect` as such, just the fee paid (around £5million) for a player who had suffered (at a very early stage of his career) a few long term injuries.

We asked our Vital Reading editor, in this interview: Our Vital Reading Editors On Aaron Tshibola

2) Do you think the price is right?

Considering his age and lack of game time in professional football, it's a lot of money. But I feel it's certainly worth the risk for villa. On the other hand, given Readings financial state, it's an amount we can't really turn down.

4) How did the fans view him?

The fans thought highly of him in his good yet short tenure in the team last season. Many speculated our season went downhill when he picked up his long-term injury, although there was definitely more to it. The fans and manager would rather he stay, but as said, if he doesn`t want to be here and we are getting decent money for him - it works out for everyone involved.

The other editor on Vital Reading at the time did seem disappointed he was leaving: Everyone loved Tish here at Reading and how couldn't you. He barely put a foot wrong in the opening months and I can see him being a great player for villa now and in the future.

5) Anything else you can tell us?

As mentioned, he has had his problems with injuries in recent years. He got injured a few months into the season, then returned in January, but soon after he required an operation on his hamstring, which finished his season. That`s the only risk on Villa`s part, apart from that, the signs are it is a good signing for Villa.

Be interesting to see now, where does he go from here? Will this defeat him or can he find a way back?
