Steve Bruce (Video) Following The Sheffield Wed Loss

Bruce disappointed with the loss but admits they were two well worked goals by Sheffield Wednesday.

"One of those awful afternoons" is how he describes it, compounded by the injury to Terry and Snodgrass.

And oh no, he says at the end... we`ll have to take the bad day, move on and.... Yes. You`ve guessed it. "Go again."

Nooooooooo!

Disappointing, every time you think we`ve turned the corner, we turn right back again. Bruce has also, rightly, pointed out it is our first home defeat, so difficult to be too harsh I guess. Nevertheless, after such a commanding performance against Preston North End, it`s difficult to take, especially as we should really be cementing our place in the top six now not dipping in and out of it.

Consistency is the key to this season if we really want to gain promotion but as others have also said, a few more wins and a few losses is going to keep us in contention far better than if we play too safe and just go for draws.

It`s another horrible, season-spoiling, international break now. Maybe this time it will play into our hands, if we`d won we`d have had the momentum but instead, hopefully they can re-group and smash QPR.

Bruce is a plonker. We went to Wolves and lost with a 4-4-2. You cannot play that formation with two out and out wingers (effectively a 4-2-4) and with Whelan or Jedi as one of the CM'ers against decent sides. I thought he had learnt when the following game saw Onomah come in and we went 4-2-3-1 and beat Fulham and we then get the perfect away display with that formation against Preston. However, he has gone back to it and we have come unstuck again! I know he had lost Onomah but Jack was the perfect replacement - and he flags in the final 30 Calum could replace him. If we get promoted, I believe it will be in spite of Bruce and not because of him!
