The Oppo View: Fulham Manager/Fans React To Villa Loss

And a Fulham fan answering the manager opinion:

And a Villan chipping in!

Slavisa Jokanovic told www.westlondonsport.com that Fulham lacked quality against Villa.

"I believe we weren`t clinical enough in both boxes," adding, "We missed our chances, we weren`t strong enough in our box too - they scored easily on the set piece for the first goal. We didn`t defend this situation. It`s not just John Terry, they are a really good team on set pieces and he punished us."

He also admitted they couldn`t find a solution for how Kodjia was playing. He says in the first half they were hoofing and losing the ball. Unusually honest for a manager that!

"In the second half, we started to move the ball better. We dominated the game, we created some great chances but without scoring." Did they? I must have gone to the loo at that time! They had the possession, but dominate?

He finished off saying "I must be satisfied with the mentality and the desire. We pushed at the end of the game, we tried to score."

Not sure many of his fans felt satisfied though!

The friendsoffulham.com users weren`t too happy.

maoconnor started the thread titled: Trash, Garbage. Wake up.

"That is two games in a row where we honestly deserved nothing. We look soft, desynchronized on the ball, and too arrogant. We will be lucky to break into the Top 6 with piss poor play like that. Fonte is nothing. Cisse should never have come on, he has almost zero game time, Mollo or Kebano are the obvious players to bring on. Ayite had a mare, should have come off. "

Ouch!

The Old Count said: "We are too short, too lightweight and have no outlet when being pressured. Disappointing not to have addressed these issues in the transfer window. Poor recruitment and a lack of understanding of what's needed to get promotion. No chance of the playoffs let alone top two."

FCFulham55: "We have to beat teams like Villa if we want top 6. They're not a top 6 team IMO. And sadly nor are we."

Hillingdon FFC "Trash , garbage ?? Must've been watching a different game to some on here. Fantastic delivery on a set piece to one of the most prolific central defenders in premier league history & a flukey second for the second. We played all the football, could we play better? absolutely, but to say we were trash is absolute bollox. Missed a sitter at 2-1 , score there & seing how Villa panicked for the last 15mins I reckon we go on & win that. People talking as if we're going to some two bob club today, 31,000 people there watching the divisions form side, gutted, but we go again"

No real talk about their opposition to be fair, just about their own weaknesses.

Was a decent match, I don't think they were trash etc as one is saying but I did think, possession aside, we were in control.

They can have all the possession they want if they just want to knock it around their own back line. So many teams who try to dominate possession stats don't actually create many chances. If you've got decent strikers, get the ball forward quicker. I'm sure Fulham will be close to the play offs come the end of the season, Cairney has been a big miss for them with his knee injury
