Snodgrass Talks Momentum

Snodgrass Talks Momentum

On loan Robert Snodgrass has said that he believes Aston Villa have now found the momentum they need to be in contention for promotion this year.

Having secured a third successive Championship win in midweek with the four nil victory over Burton Albion, Snodgrass told the Official Site that he felt Villa were now in the position they needed to be ahead of the next international break and now the aim is to finish on a high with victory over Bolton Wanderers.

'We've set ourselves up nicely - we've got that belief. We have momentum now, and when that happens it can steer you a long way. When you look at our overall performance in the week, you've got hard work, defending well as a team, a clean sheet and four goals - you've got everything in there. It was one of those nights where you had to be at your best against a Burton side who've had some good results at home. We want to perform like that again on Saturday.'

The victory over Burton saw Snodgrass net his first club goal and he also has an unbeaten run to boast following his arrival at the end of the summer's transfer window.

'It feels amazing to be honest - I've waited a long time to get that goal. I can't wait for the next game now - I've got that confidence. Since I've started here we've gone unbeaten and collected 11 points from a possible 15, which is great.'

He added.

'Hopefully now I can continue performing, show my experience and contribute towards helping the younger lads. That, of course, is alongside my main job - getting this club out of the Championship.'
