Jedinak Returns To Provisional Aussie Squad

Jedinak Returns To Provisional Aussie Squad

Having made his comeback from a groin injury in last week's draw with Middlesbrough, Mile Jedinak finds himself back in the provisional Australian squad for the next international break.

Hopefully this is just for technical reasons ahead of Ange Postecoglu reducing his provision 30 man squad to the strict 23 number, as to be fair Middlesbrough was Jedinak's first game of the season and whilst I know he's important to them - unless I've lost my marbles again - prior to Boro he last played against Birmingham in April - we pay his wages.

They face Syria next month in a two legged World Cup play off tie, but frankly if he's not playing regularly for us given the game time he's already missed, he has to stay.

Australia squad:

Goalkeepers:
Mat Ryan, Mitch Langerak, Danny Vukovic, Mark Birighitti.

Defenders:
Aziz Behich, Milos Degenek, Alex Gersbach, Mathew Jurman, Ryan McGowan, Josh Risdon, Trent Sainsbury, Brad Smith, Bailey Wright.

Midfielders:
Mustafa Amini, Craig Goodwin, Jackson Irvine, Mile Jedinak, James Jeggo, Robbie Kruse, Mathew Leckie, Massimo Luongo, Awer Mabil, Mark Milligan, Aaron Mooy, Tom Rogic, James Troisi.

Strikers:
Tim Cahill, Tomi Juric, Jamie Maclaren, Nikita Rukavytsya.
