Hourihane Thanks Vital Villa For Player Of Month Award

As you all know, there was much excitement yesterday as Vital Villa released the player of the month poll results!

The winner was Conor Hourihane and I`m pleased to say he`s taken the time to have a quick word with Vital Villa about this most prestigious of awards (do you think I`m slightly self-aggrandising this?)

The midfielder, slayer of Norwich City and keeper of the ball (I`ve gone all Game Of Thrones now haven't I?) told VV

"It was nice to score my first hat-trick for Aston Villa against Norwich and for it to happen at Villa Park in front of our fantastic support made it that little more special."

"The previous match, against Reading, I managed to get my first goal of the season and I`ve made no secret of the fact I`ve set myself a target of scoring many more this season."

Adding, “I always appreciate the feedback from supporters and it`s nice to have been recognised."

I wonder what his target is? 4 already, I`d think double figures could be in order don`t you? And from a midfielder, compared with how few we`ve scored from that position in goodness knows how many seasons (?) that would be a great contribution.

Target? He has 4 before September, so how about 12 for the season. Reasonable don't you think?

I don't think very often Pride, no... but yes, would be a very useful contribution
