Another Exit Imminent For Aston Villa?

Another Exit Imminent For Aston Villa?

Exit news is hotting up.

We`ve been able to off load Jordan Amavi and now it looks like Leandro Bacuna is set to join Reading.

Woohoo! Or at least a half woohoo, I`m slightly miffed that I`ve just bought a new image of him for the site!!!

The Reading Chronicle has gone all 'Sky Sports` as it 'understands` that Bacuna will be their fifth signing of the summer.

It was reported a week ago that one bid from Reading had been turned down, however after jeers when he was brought off in our opening game, it appears he decided he`d had enough.

I don`t think he was the source of all our ills, but I can`t say I`ll miss his haphazard performances and 'couldn`t really care less` body language.

Steve Bruce admitted yesterday to the BBC that 'There's a Championship club after Bacuna." Adding it was "close to being over the line`.

Ha, can't say I'm over fussed and one of my good mates I know will be celebrating tonight, eh Nigel?!

Never really played in perferd position but we now have much better options there so not worried about him going! Although I'm confused as I thought Reading were in Championship not champions league!! Or maybe it's Bacuna who's confused!!

I dont think Bacuna is half as bad technically as some think and booing him was ridiculous IMO. But he nearly always looks like he's just having a kick about with his mates, he rarely seems focused. I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen him switch off, as his man has strolled past and scored.

Agreed gary but Bacuna has a very 'laid back' style and whilst he looks like he is having a kick about, he is really doing what he can. IMO a talented footballer but wrong time, wrong position(s) and wrong systems for him.

He never convinced me. I never rated him. Amazed he played as often as he did. In good times he wouldn't of had a sniff.....

Agree with DJ. Unfortunately he has become the poster child for a tumultuous period in the club's history. When you consider he has been made to play in nearly every position on the pitch for 5(?) different managers, he cost next to nothing and was very young when he turned up to play in a foreign country it is hard not to say the abuse is way over the top. Unfortunately he had some maturity issues which I am sure he on reflection would agree. When you look at all the slackers with much bigger reputations and pay packets that have come and gone and are still here (Richards, Gabby) the unnecessary vitriol is out of perspective.

It'd probably do some fans well to know that when he spoke of Champions League football he actually referenced a move to the likes of Ajax rather than assuming he could walk into Real Madrid or Barcelona's sides. But let's not let truth get in the way of vitriol.

IMO, he only lacked one thing- ability!

It's not ability. It's concentration and a football brain he lacks. He can at times be the best player on the pitch and then blow it all with stupid mistakes.
