Veretout Linked With Betis?

Veretout Linked With Betis?

It's been reported over the weekend that Jordan Veretout is now a target for Spanish La Liga side Real Betis.

With Saint Etienne long linked with the 24 year old following his loan spell with them last term, they haven't as of yet raised the funds necessary to tempt us into a deal and L'Equipe have reported that Betis are now expressing an interest in him.

Having played against Telford and Shrewsbury in our pre season campaign so far, they claim he and his entourage will head to Spain on Saturday night or Sunday presumably for talks with the club.

It's believed Betis are interested in a loan deal to begin with but if that's the case, like Gil, it will involve a loan fee to bolster our coffers and hopefully it'll have a buy option involved for January if Steve Bruce doesn't see his future with us.

In other news though, estadiodeportivo in Spain though reference sources close to the player who claim there has been no contact with Betis and that no meetings are planned.
