RIP Big Man. Image Library Of Ugo In Happier Times

What an awful day.

Terrible news that former Villa defender Ugo Ehiogu has died at the age of 44.

He suffered a cardiac arrest at Tottenham's training ground on Thursday.

Thoughts with his family at this sad sad time.

Villa and Blues will wear black armbands on Sunday and there will be a minutes applause.

I thought instead of going into a long article, it would be fitting to pay tribute to him with some of the great images of his time with us.

RIP big man.

Just 44... get out and live folks, don't take it for granted. One of my tattoos reminds me, no matter what health wise... Get up. Get out. Live.

An absolute colossus at the back. I knew he'd been taken ill but, to die at 44 is such a waste.

What a man? one of our greats, some partnership himself and the black Pearl. Merse summed it up on his interview with Sky with genuine emotion " Only the good die young" 3 Great Villa Men gone in the recent past. COTVABU

They say things come in 3s... with Dalian last year and Ugo this year, someone needs to keep a close watch on McGrath...

Amongst other memories, I will always remember his goal against Leicester at VP to keep our unbeaten start to the season under JG. RIP Big Man.

Been reading the tributes being made about Ugo. I don't mind admitting, I've had tears in my eyes a couple of times today. Such a sad, sad loss. No age at all. Another Holte Ender in the Sky.......

I heard he'd collapsed at Spurs' training ground but was genuinely shocked when I found out he'd passed. No age at all and a classy centre half and I doubt anyone across football would have a bad word to say. All thoughts to his family.
