Kodjia Still In With A Chance Of 20 Goal Mark This Season

Kodjia Still In With A Chance Of 20 Goal Mark This Season

Aston Villa have confirmed that Jonathan Kodjia will serve a one match ban following his ridiculous red card in the Click Here match.

Could have been worse, straight red and 'violent conduct` could have been 3 matches.

So the appeal worked in reducing it at least.

He is now poised on 19 league goals for the season, so he will still be on to try to break the 20 mark and equal Peter 'it must be it is` Withe`s record.

He misses the Blues game due to suspension but is back for our final two, Blackburn Rovers away and the final game at home v Brighton & Hove Albion.

Shame the card wasn`t totally overturned, it was handbags at dawn and common sense could and should have prevailed.

Better than it could have been. Overturning it would have been an admission by the FA of the complete incompetence of the referee, and we can't have that now, can we??!!

The ref should have been honest enough on review to rescind. There is nothing at all bad about admitting you were wrong every now and then ffs!

Still don't see why the Fulham player hasn't also received a 1 match ban. He clearly kicks out into Kodjias chest which is what caused it. As for the 20 goal record, its nice for Kodjia but if its not top flight it doesn't really mean much to me.
