U23s - Aston Villa 2 Brighton 0

Kevin MacDonald's Under 23 side took a two nil victory over Brighton yesterday evening.

Hosting the side at Villa Park for our most recent Premier League 2 clash, Villa took the two nil win with goals coming from Jerell Sellars and Keinan Davis and we took our two goal lead inside of the opening six minutes and then saw the game out to take all three points.

Good to see Sellars back on the scoresheet given his injury problems earlier in the campaign and the goal won't have done first team fringe player Davis any harm at all with ongoing issues for Steve Bruce.

Villa:

Johansson, Clark, Suliman, Bedeau, Leggett (C), Hale, Doyle-Hayes, Blackett-Taylor, Sellars, Clarke (O`Hare 57), Davis (Abdo 82).

Unused subs:

Boucher, Linley, Sundman.

Goals - Sellars (5), Davis (6).
Yellows - Hale, Bedeau.

Brighton:

Walton, Collar, White, Hall, Adekugbe (Cox 10), Hornby-Forbes (Mandroiu 64), Molumby, Hutchinson (C), J.Davies, Tilley, Wright (Cardwell 75).

Unused subs:

Sanchez, Dallison.

Yellows - Molumby.

Officials:
Referee: David Rock.
Assistant referee 1: Jack Shepherd.
Assistant referee 2: Oliver Bickle.
Fourth Official: Samuel Lewis.
