Unoial Villa News...

I used to write positive things about Aston Villa. Honestly, it happened. Today? Staring blankly at my screen with Oasis on autoplay. No, not the 'Don`t Look Back In Anger` from earlier in the season…it`s 'Where Did It All Go Wrong` blasting out. I nearly went to Status Quo, 'Down Down Deeper And Down` but if I sank to that this morning I`d probably end up turning to a full depression mode and sitting in a dark room with The Smiths 'Panic` and 'That Joke Isn`t Funny Anymore` on. I thought we`d have a bit of excitement this year and even possibly show the Championship a bit of swagger and arrogance. For the rest: The Sun

The wheels have come off in spectacular fashion at Aston Villa since the turn of the year. If you`re into such nonsense, we are apparently 91st in the form table, with only Leicester City below us. In recent weeks, we have lost to Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town. In fact, we haven`t won a match since Boxing Day, almost two months ago. It makes pretty grim reading, whichever way you look at it. Read more:No Signs On The Aston Villa Horizon?

A good article in www.theguardian.com on us as sent to me by StennyVilla. Crippled by fear they say, in my The Sun blog I said overawed. But seems a similar conclusion to me. Madness! Go out and show off for goodness sake!

This mornings muse: Is a co-incidence that since our assistant coach came we haven't won any games? If we don't get any more points this season can we still stay up? Does Dr Xhia have a replacement for SB in place? When is the tipping point at which this happens?
