Aston Villa vs Watford Preview: Team News, Lineups and Stats

Aston Villa vs Watford
Premier League 2015-16
Date: 28th November, 2015
Kick off: 15:00 BST
Venue: Villa Park, Birmingham

Aston Villa will be looking for a vital three points to close the gap on 19th place Bournemouth when the host Watford on Saturday.

Remi Garde's side looked hopeless as they were thrashed 4-0 at Everton last weekend, only the French manager's second game in charge.

Watford head into the weekend on back-to-back losses after conceding a last minute winner to Bastian Schweinsteiger and Manchester United last weekend.

The Hornets had otherwise made a good start to their season under Quique Sanchez Flores but their seven-point lead over the relegation zone could be cut with defeat at Villa Park.

Aston Villa's only win this season came at newly-promoted Bournemouth on the opening game of the season, since then they have only take two points from a possible 36 and are five points from safety. It is now or never for Villa and backing them for a win with bet365 may seem optimistic but at home with a Watford side possibly looking to attack, Villa could break their duck and sneak a win. Any way will do.

Aston Villa vs Watford Team News

Jores Okore is unlikely to make his long-awaited return in the centre of Aston Villa's defence and Jordan Amavi is done for the season.

Other than that, Gabby Agbonlahor is a doubt up front but Remi Garde has the majority of his squad to choose from.

As for Watford, they will be without Sebastian Proedl for a fifth successive game in the middle of their defence.  His replacement, Miguel Britos kept clean sheets in each of his first two games but has conceded four in the two games since.

There are no other absentees for the Spanish manager who can name the same starting XI that went down late against Manchester United if he wishes to.

You better not be right with this line up JP. Richardson has played 4 times and we've lost them all also if Grealish is training with the Under 21's he won't get picked. I only hope Kozac, Okore and our Barca Bombshell take some part.

Meh, not mine, forgot to put author in the writer part... Grealish and Westwood wouldn't be in my team I have to admit.

with that line up I would not be predicting a 1-0 villa win
