Ron Vlaar Going NOWHERE - Concrete News

Now this is music to our ears isn`t it?

Ron Vlaar`s agent has denied links to Arsenal and indeed anywhere for the Villa defender.

His agent Arnold Oosterveer has told The Guardian

"There is no truth in any of the rumours. He still has a contract with Villa for one year so he will stay there. There is nothing happening with him today."

Fabulous.

So, we have a grown up, EXPERIENCED, defence to get us through this campaign. On top of that, we`ve a top keeper between the sticks. The baldies of the world are taking over I tell you!

Hey, one could almost say this is like a new signing? Or maybe not. But fabulous news.

Great news for us and him. He can go on a free in the summer and make a fortune and we don't have to up his wages ( lol, as if Lerner would!!) He was a cheap buy anyway.

still not convinced that if a champs league team comes in he won't go. the other question is, if he stays - new contract? otherwise we'll be losing maybe 10 million on a transfer fee

According to CaughtOffside (I use News Now for my transfer talk), Arsenal are "In Talks to Sign Aston Villa Star". I think it's fair to say CaughtOffside have been caught offside with this article. I hope.

Why would Vlaar go to Arsenal to be third choice behind Mertesacker and Koscielny, with Chambers as Arsene's latest blue eyed boy waiting in the wings as well. Man United as a destination worries me, but why he'd want to drop 11 places in the table to go there is beyond me :)
