Mystic Mug v Lawro - Stoke v Villa

Lawro v Mystic Mug... it`s back... it`s personal!

Mystic tried to be positive at the start of last season up until Christmas and was thrashed, he`s not making that mistake again he says!

Lawro told BBC Sport that he thinks they will beat Villa 2-0 in the opening day match.

The man with the bizarre collared shirts explains that Stoke look 'in good shape` and rates their new summer signings.

Adding, "The Potters have had a really positive summer in the transfer market and should get another top-half finish but neither can be said for Villa, who have spent very little and face another struggle. Roy Keane will make a difference as assistant manager but Villa fans are probably only wondering one thing - when will Christian Benteke be fit?"

He also says the Villa fans will be on the managers back from the get go unless he gets results.

Mystic Mug thinks that Mark Hughes will start to make a real mark on Stoke this year, having had time to change their style of play and bring in his own men. He sees little to be hopeful yet (YET) from Villa, although is clinging on to perhaps the manager finally catching up with the rest of football and realising you need some experience in the team. However, he isn`t going for early season optimism until he is given a sign to be optimistic. The pre-season games, albeit being mainly about fitness, showed little in the way of a new shape or positive attitude. 2-1 to Stoke.

It is only the first game, already many have written us off saying it is us and two others to go down, we need to see how we play. For one I am happy that stupid "bomb squad" is gone, Hutton and Bent might just do something for us. I am sure they would love to show Lambert up for banishing them a. I am going for a 1-1 with Bent scoring from a Hutton croos 94 min on the clock. Unlike many I think we will still be in the Pl for 2015/2016 season. COTVABU

Well, with Sanchez added to the squad (I know he's not available tomorrow) the squad is half decent. All we need now is a half decent manager and we might stand a chance.....
