Helenius Looking Forward

Helenius Looking Forward

Nicklas Helenius' agent Mads Bach Lund has said that Aston Villa are not looking to his client as being part of the squad for 2014-15.

Following on from his recent comments in the press about Helenius and a potential move back to Aalborg this summer, he has now gone one stage further when talking about the 23 year old who made barely a handful of substitute appearances for the club, scoring once, since he joined us.

'Villa are not counting on @NicklasHelenius as a part of the squad next season. Pity, but we are looking forward instead of backwards. He did his very best, but many reasons behind this. But great experience and development, he is a stronger player now!'

Not entirely unexpected given his lack of progress last season and the noises being made by his agent from January onwards, but as said previously, some moves just don't work out and this is clearly one of them.

A swift resolution now for both the club and the player is the best way forward.

He looked fairly decent when given a run out as striker..........I though that is what he was bought as, but for whatever reason wasn't given a chance.

Feel sorry for the guy, he's never been given a proper chance for some reason. Hope he gets sorted out soon and proves Lamberk wrong in the future. Good Luck Nicklas..

He must feel like a kid at school who does all his homework only to watch the naughty kids get all the praise when they don't punch somebody at playtime. What a waste of what looked like a really good talent

I feel for him as well, even when we were losing every week and had a massive amount of injuries to strikers especially he still didn't get a run and Holt did instead?! Why not give him a goIn those times? We really couldn't do any worse. Poor management. He's right to leave though as the new manager will get rid of half the squad.

Flo my thoughts exactly. Lambert has filled the Club with players we will struggle to sell on and he has increased the payroll. Another 12 months with him in charge will result in more dross being bought. God if Lambert had a Car Boot sale of his players he wouldn't sell any and end up with a couple of Garden Gnomes in addition.

We had a similar article to this the other day. This one is accurately and fairly reported again but seems to be followed by just pathetic snipes at Lambert in the comments section. He will be our manager for a while so get used to it and stop wasting other poster's time by having to read your repeated drivel.

Didn't see him training so not in a position to say he should've played. Good luck to him.
