'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Over 90% Agree With Randy & Player Of The Meh

A quick and simple poll question was asked following Randy Lerner's statement about officially having the club up for sale because he believes it's time for him to move on and put us in the hands of fresh ownership and unsurprisingly the vast majority agree with him.

Lerner - Agree/Disagree

Time To Go - Agreed 92%
He Should Stay 7%

So that's that then!

Right, the joys of the season being over mean I'm obligated to run a Player of the Meh poll.

Fabian Delph was the clear winner in the Terrace Trophy Player of the Year Award based on after match votes, and well, he's going to win this one as well really isn't he!

Our list of Man of the Match polls this season reads.

Arsenal (away): Gabby Agbonlahor 51%
Chelsea (away): Fabian Delph 61%
Liverpool (home): Fabian Delph 60%
Newcastle (home): Fabian Delph 75%
Norwich (away): Brad Guzan 77%
Man City (home): Leandro Bacuna 67%
Hull (away): Fabian Delph 50%
Spurs (home): Fabian Delph 61%
Everton (home): Fabian Delph 55%
West Ham (away): Yacouba Sylla 27%
Cardiff City (home): Leandro Bacuna 70%
WBA (away): Ashley Westwood 48%
Sunderland (home): Gabby Agbonlahor 40%
Southampton (away): Fabian Delph 43%
Fulham (away): Chris Herd 45%
Man Utd (home): Marc Albrighton 54%
Stoke (away): Libor Kozák 61%
Crystal Palace (home): Brad Guzan 77%
Swansea (home): Fabian Delph 30%
Arsenal (home): Leandro Bacuna 35%
Liverpool (away): Gabby Agbonlahor 56%
WBA (home): Fabian Delph 40%
Everton (away): Leandro Bacuna 45%
West Ham (home): Marc Albrighton 69%
Cardiff (away): Ashley Westwood 46%
Newcastle (away): Joe Bennett (sub) 51% (protest against performance!)
Norwich (home): Christian Benteke 55%
Chelsea (home): Fabian Delph 50%
Stoke (home): Marc Albrighton (sub) 36%
Man Utd (away): Ashley Westwood 40%
Fulham (home): Marc Albrighton 47%
Crystal Palace (away): none 76%
Southampton (home): Marc Albrighton 57%
Swansea (away): None 65%
Hull (home): Bowery 56%
Man City (away): Grealish 56%
Spurs (away): The Fans 84%

So there you have it, Fabian Delph was Man of the Match in ten games by my count, not so closely followed by Marc Albrighton/Leandro Bacuna on five and Gabby Agbonlahor/Ashley Westwood on three.

For the unofficial vote and mainly because I don't have a new poll prepared and I need to change it, the following would be candidates.

Delph, Albrighton, Bacuna, Agbonlahor, Westwood, Guzan, none/The Fans

Mike, obligated? You're an Englishman for goodness sake, not an American. In English we have a perfectly good word without having to switch over, the word you are looking for is obliged. If we were on the forum I'd have a couple of choice emoticons for you now too. Lol.

So, 92% want Randy to leave? Which of the following would you fancy as our new owner? Allam (Hull) Wants to change the name Ashley (Newcastle) Universally detested Glazer family (Man U) Take money out of the club Tan (Cardiff) Changes the colours and the badge Sullivan (W Ham) 'Nuf said Peace (W Brom) No money Delia Smith (Norwich) No money Lewis (Spurs) Who? Short (Sunderland) appointed Di Canio as manager Kenwright (Everton) Good bloke but no money Various (Swansea) No money Various (Palace) No money Coates family (Stoke) Less money than Randy

To be fair the question isn't really 'should Randy go' it's about whether fans agree that he believes it''s time for him to go. Personally, if his heart isn't in it anymore, it' the time to go. That's not a statement on the good or bad under his tenureship, it is simply, if he's no longer invigorated then it's the right choice.

Going instantly to 'worst case' ownership does nobody any favours. Many thought the same when Doug finally moved aside and to be fair teapot, if we want to be relative about this, all of those clubs in the last couple of years have had more success than us in their relative situations. Money is not everything. Interest, desire and standards are.

But they only come from interest. If Randy has lost his, then it's time to move on, not sure why it has to be a conspiracy?

Yeah, regardless of whether you like the bloke or not, It is time to go.

Deadly Doug made a statement that we needed a new owner such as Sheik Monsour of Man City ?,he'd met him on occasion n stated what a lovely humble chap he is,reading between lines I'd like to hope that Doug was hinting that's where our future lies ?,because as long suffering fans watching dire football by inadequate players I don't care as long as we get sold and buy quality players and return to being a club to be proud of ?

Getting back to player of the season. My thoughts go towards Darren Bent, without whom we would have been closer to relegation.
