Mansfield Friendly Added To Pre Season Campaign

Aston Villa have today announced that they have scheduled a friendly against Mansfield Town as we prepare for 2014-15.

We will face the League 2 side at Field Mill on Thursday July 17th and the game will kick off at 7.45pm.

Our current pre season schedule now reads.

JULY 17 - Mansfield (A)
JULY 23 - FC Dallas (A)
JULY 26 - Houston Dynamo (A)
JULY 30 - Chesterfield (A)
AUGUST 2 - Groningen (A)
AUGUST 5 - Walsall (A)

Still waiting that home friendly aren't we.

Ticket details are yet to be announced for the fixtures that have been added this week.

I bet we are the envy of the premier league with that line up of matches! I wonder who with in the Villa organisation sits down and negotiate such top flight opposition? Could it be the clowns that thought the "ask Bennet" campaign was good? Or is it a list of the clubs we are going to recruit players from to beefen up our 1st team squad??

Bit worried about the quality of opposition we are facing in the pre- season we cant be relegated down 2 divisions at once can we ? Mind you we are probably practicing losing to lower league opposition in the cups.
