Bowery Loaned To Doncaster

Well you'd hardly notice from the official site coverage, but striker Jordan Bowery has moved to Doncaster Rovers on a loan.

For those who believe in itsotp treatment. Our official site says.

'Jordan Bowery has joined Doncaster Rovers on a 28 day loan.'

For a bit more read on.

Bowery joined us for a reported 500,000 back in August of 2012, but many expect that fee to be the total should conditions be reached.

In his time with us he has been semi irregular at U21 level this season, but did play more regularly last campaign from memory although that wasn't a lot either as manager Paul Lambert used him as a first team bench option for the most part. His senior Villa career extends to four starts and 14 appearances from the bench.

Joining us from Chesterfield, he scored 17 goals in 102 appearances having made his debut aged 17.

He has yet to find the net for us, but no doubt the highlight appearance was the game against Stoke when he showed he was a little bit more than just a target man and had some nifty foot work.

Doncaster manager Paul Dickov has recently lost Theo Robinson to injury, and on loan Southampton striker Billy Sharp is now to serve a three match suspension.

Dickov has therefore moved for the 22 year old to provide both an option and cover over the coming month. He joined the club in time to play a part in their game against Barnsley today, and he has made his debut wearing the No 34 shirt.

His performance against Stoke definitely caught people's attention, it's referenced on the Doncaster site!

Playing little U21 action, and basically being rooted to our bench, no doubt a good run of games will do him, his development and his confidence the world of good and hopefully he'll be able to kick on from it.

You would imagine if the spell is successful it will be extended as these days he's probably behind Jed Steer in the pecking order.

Good luck Jordan!

Yeah, good luck to him. Below our standards (just) and above Chesterfield's so he could use it as a step up if he actually gets any game time.

Good luck Jordan
Best of luck to him for this move to progress his career. Nice to see him get 78 mins match time straight away today. Hope he can prove me wrong and show that he might actually be a diamond in the rough.
Nice to see Samir carruthers got a goal and I think an assist aswell for mk dons yesterday. Hopefully him and jack grealish will be involved with the first team next season.
Poor old Donny!
At least they've got Enda Stevens too!
17 goals in 102 appearances in the lower leagues and we expect the next drogba?!
See he was subbed on his debut without a goal. Some things never change...
