'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Liverpool v Villa Team News - 18/1/14

Ah we are here again fellow Vital Villans, another game, against Liverpool, another gulp. New signing Ryan Bertrand debuts!

Anfield - 5.30pm

Liverpool:

Mignolet, Johnson, Cissokho, Skrtel, Toure, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Countinho, Sturridge, Suarez.

Subs:

Jones, Kelly, Lucas, Moses, Allen, Aspas, Alberto.

Villa:

Guzan, Bacuna, Vlaar, Clark, Bertrand, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Benteke.

Subs:

Steer, Sylla, Helenius, Albrighton, Luna, Holt, Gardner.

Ohhhh attacking formation, that's a good start!

I wonder if knowing that was the formation we were going with folks would've voted differently in the poll?

Aston Villa v Liverpool (away) will:

Win - 23%
Draw - 6%
Lose - 71%

Getting used to those kinds of votes aren't we.

It's the attacking formation we know that can work for results, and it's also the formation that we know we can look dangerous in when we play properly - let's hope it's two for two on that score.

Let's go and surprise everybody!

No Lowton?
Ams78
The only sub for the back four (where we get all our injuries..) is....Luna. Assuming Lowton has a knock, what about Donacien ?? Bench NEVER makes sense. Take KEA off after 5 mins and play Gardner for *****s sake.

Attacking yes, headless chickens in a 433? More than likely unfortunately

Very good from your boys, so far. You look like the home team. You have kept the so called SAS pretty quiet too. Impressed.
Naijagunner
Your performance against us must have helped. Early days yet, so can only wish you luck.
Naijagunner
Wow! New tactic from Lambert. Possession football!

First 45 minutes s#+t hot! extra time typical villa no concentration and let the most overrated player in the league score

Stop whinging and support your team. Mate.

Villa fans aren't happy unless they've got something to moan about Gooner. Great performance today but I'm sure the result is the manager's fault for some reason as we didn't win 10-0 as is our McGrath given right!!!
Villan444
Gooner fans don't moan do they?
Stop whinging10
Now that was a game of football! clappy hands thing!
mike_field
...moan? Not when we put in a shift like your lads did tonight. Be happy. You have just held a supposed contender to a draw on their perch, more than half way into the season.
Naijagunner
Correct.

Great performance. Should have got the 3 points, it was well deserved. I know everyone hates Holt, but I thought he did alright. Delph man of the match for me. Tireless performance from him.
MASON_PARKER
Agree with Gunner. 14/1 it was worth a 5 bet. Gutted but what a great result and performance.
HolteEnd89
Better more like the performances at the start of the season. Everyone put in a shift but plaudits to Gabby his pace continues to cause teams problems shame he got injured.
