Unoial Villa News...

A mini transfer gossip round up: Click Here

Despite what some would have you believe in careless articles on stirring sites, Villa are not under offer and a 90m change in shares is paper shuffling, not outside investment. See forum thread: Click Here

Wadey: Avoiding that Ratner moment...When it comes to fans and their club it is a relationship kind of thing and just as with relationships you can go through some deep sh** together, survive the thoughtlessness and the selfishness, but then it ends because someone says the wrong thing. You pull the wrong face when complimenting a haircut and you suddenly get told, 'we need to talk!'. So it was with Villa over the holidays after Lambert made some innocuous remarks about the FA Cup, some journo decided he'd hit the motherload and the faeces hit the fan. With a stuttering forward line further depleted due to the injury to Libor Kozak, manager Paul Lambert has said that he's confident Nicklas Helenius will step up to the plate and play his part for the remainder of the campaign. Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game this weekend against Arsenal - gulp - Lambert said he was delighted for Helenius to have got his goal in the game against Sheffield United, and he feels he would have taken a lot of confidence from that and his overall performance in the game. Paul Lambert says he's desperate to make the loyal home fans happy. Lambert accepts that Villa are finding life difficult in B6, as they have for the past few campaigns on home soil. And the boss agrees that the form - only three wins in all competitions this term - on the hallowed turf has been below-par. See:

I do think this is funny...! Now Randy has lost interest in us, we may expect him to sell the club. Fortunately (unlike Small Heath, whose only notable supporter is an aged comedian named after a vegetable), Villa are awash with celebrity fans. Which one will be our saviour? Here's my guide to the runners: David Cameron: See: Front Runners To Take Over From Randy Lerner!!!

Midfielder Samir Carruthers has now extended his loan spell at League One MK Dons until April 3rd, 2014. The talented youngster moved to them back in August and has since gone on to apparently make 24 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring once according to the official site, I actually thought it was a few less than that, but in either case he's certainly been getting good game time under Karl Robinson. It's early, I'm bored, so what words of wisdom will cheer me and you up ahead of tonight's match against almost top of the table Arsenal. There's something about stats that should make pleasant reading for fans ahead of the game, but as said it's early and there are a lot of words, but thankfully there are some pictures which make it easier See: Gulp Villa v Arsenal Tonight - A Roundup

LOL.. pundit Lawro has been joined by Stallone and De-Niro for the predictions this weekend. I kid you not ladies and gentlemen. Not only that, but they have predicted a Villa win and Lawro has said a 1-1 draw. I might go back to bed, wake up again and check that I`m not dreaming?!?!?! See: Mystic = Miserable. Lawro In Shock Prediction!

Thought for the day: 'My wife has just confessed she has an odd fetish with light switches. I said, 'Hey, whatever turns you on.'`
