Lambert Backs Gabby To Go On A Run

Not literally a run, we all know he can do that, the gaffer is talking about a scoring run!

Quite shocked at this really as I hadn't realised, but apparently Gabby's goal against Southampton was his first in seven months. It'll be easier waiting for comments here to confirm it rather than going and actually checking, but surely that is league form only and not Cup.

Ah I might as well check.

No it's absolutely true, he last scored a brace against Norwich in early May.

Blimey. Certainly want to see him getting on the score sheet far more often now he's broke his duck, with Gabby's pace and our counter attacking style he should be looking at double figures really, hopefully it won't take him too long to get there now.

'I hope he can score a few more because he has all the attributes. If he can add more goals to his game then it would be a benefit to everybody. If he gets a run and a head start on you, then I'm not sure many would catch him.'

Quotes - Sky Sports.

Here's hoping for a brace this weekend then so he can really get his confidence high, his performance against Sunderland was one of few bright moments from the game and he more than deserved his Man of the Match win, keep the performances to those levels and surely the goals will come for him with regularity again.

I've been on a good run, haven't made a coffee at weekend for about 3 years, I'd like to thank my wife for helping me achieve this amazing run, keep up the good work.
Go on a run? He's always running, he's like road runner he's so fast. Beep beep!
