Mystic Mug and Lawro were both wrong again mid week. Previously they`d been positive of a Villa win v Sunderland and were wrong, this time they said a loss v Saints and were wrong again!
Better luck this time maybe?
The bbc pundit told www.bbc.co.uk "Performance-wise, Fulham were very good despite losing at home to Tottenham on Wednesday. It might sound hard to believe but Dimitar Berbatov was running around. Maybe he is playing for a January move - who knows?"
And on the game: "But if Fulham play like that again against Aston Villa, I can see them getting the three points. Villa are very good on their travels, as we saw against Southampton, but I do not see them winning two on the spin away from home."
His prediction is 2-1 to Fulham.
The partner predictor on BBC (I don`t usually bother with them) is non other than Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, he says "I like Fulham and I love going to Craven Cottage. But I like Villa boss Paul Lambert more and I think he is going to get a 2-1 win."
Whoop, I like Jim!
And Mystic Mug ? Well, he feels sick doing this, but he`s going to try to be positive again. He says despite just 23% possession v Saints, they kept their resilience, if not the ball, and won. With a bit more of the ball, and the fact we are not relying on just one striker (Benteke) to score now, we can take on and beat Fulham.
2-1 to the Villa.
What say you folks?
Southampton 2 - 3 Aston Villa
Aston Villa 0 - 0 Sunderland
WBA 2 - 2 Aston Villa
Aston Villa 2 - 0 Cardiff
West Ham 0 - 0 Aston Villa
Aston Villa 0 - 2 Everton
Fulham 1 - 2 Spurs
West Ham 3 - 0 Fulham
Fulham 1 - 2 Swansea
Liverpool 4 - 0 Fulham
Fulham 1 - 3 Man Utd
Southampton 2 - 0 Fulham
