Summer signing Nicklas Helenius has said he's confident he will score goals for the club when he gets his chance on the pitch.
Speaking to Politiken magazine the 6ft 5in Dane said he was confident in his own ability to make an impact in the Premiership having tasted a little bit of league action as a substitute in games against Liverpool and Norwich.
The 22 year old commented, that all he feels he needs is a little bit of a run in the side but he knows how things work when you join a new club, and he knows he has to bide his time and take the opportunity when it comes.
'At AaB I got better and better and at the end I was good enough to play from the start, I am confident I can do it at Aston Villa too.'
The player goes onto to say that for his first season at the club and in the Premier League he'd be very happy with 15 to 20 appearances from the bench, and obviously the more games he can start the better.
'The goals will come when they come. I know that I can score, I am not worried about that.'
To back up that confidence he says he knows he has impressed the management team on the training pitch, and he's shown he's a good finisher and they have told him that.
So he just has to be patient, and make sure he impresses when Lambert sends him onto the pitch.
Still sounds a very level headed guy to me. Like many his pre season exploits showed that he certainly has an eye for a pass, so he should give us something different upfront when called upon.
Who knows, with a sensible referee who let's him keep his shorts on maybe he'd have already found the net?
