'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Delph Not Enjoying International Break

Midfielder Fabian Delph has said he expects a number of players will be falling out with their missus because he's not alone in missing football.

Speaking to the Official Site the midfielder explained that having missed so much action over the past few years with injury, he didn't deal well with breaks from football especially when they last this long.

'We haven't got a game for a long time now so a few of the boys will be falling out with the missus I'm sure. We'll be anxious and raring to go again when the game come. I personally struggle when there's no football and I'm not the happiest man when I'm not playing.'

Delph adds that all he can do is welcome the rest period, along with the remainder of the squad, and make sure that he's 100% again ready to go when the league campaign returns and we face Newcastle.

The midfielder did say though that after a tough start in the league, everybody was happy to end with a win in the Cup and secure our passage through to the next round, as everybody wants a cup run again this season but hopefully with a better outcome this time round.
