Mystic v Lawro: Arsenal v Villa Predictions

Mystic v Lawro: Arsenal v Villa Predictions

And here we go again!

Lawro was beaten by Mystic Mug last year (14-13) and I know you all wait with bad (or is it bated) breath to see if he can repeat his success!

Lawro has said on www.bbc.co.uk/sport 2-0 to Arsenal.

He says that even though Arsenal have yet to make any major signings, they should still have enough to beat Villa at The Emirates.

On us he says: "Villa are a well-run club under Paul Lambert and I see them staying out of trouble this season. Their younger players will be better for the experience they have picked up and, in Benteke, they have got goals in them."

Mystic Mug is at sixes and sevens because he doesn`t know any of our new signings or how quickly (if at all) they will settle in and contribute.

With the 'Premier League starting this weekend, and the football odds backing Arsenal,' can Aston Villa surprise us and get off to a good start? Although Mystic is dreaming that we can catch Arsenal cold, with new players and a relatively average pre-season (which to be fair, he recognises, is pretty much all about just gaining fitness) he says Arsenal have just as much chance of catching us cold.

1-1 (forecast changed five mins after he said 2-1 because Mystic has now seen the injuries Arsenal have!).

What say you folks? Predictions please and don`t forget our win/lose/draw poll (bottom right of the site)

3-2 to Arsenal. Can't see us stopping them from scoring three or four at least given the lack of cover from midfield but equally given their defensive injury concerns can't see us not scoring a couple either. Probably end up 0-0 now I've said that but I'd be happy with a point tbh.

I wonder how Arsenal fans feel that it was Villa that scored the first goal at the emirates and not themselves !! I'm going 2-2 with Arsenal pressing late on and us feeling lucky to get a point.

Im a little bit tempted to bet on the Villa since Arsenal seem to be missing a few players...

Arteta is out, few more out. I think we could sneak this 2-1, but I'd be happy with a draw.

First Spurs trolls now the Arse. As CB20 said on his Twiter the other day - now it is the truth, unbelievers.

Villa beating Arsenal away is a "lol" is it? Villa's record at the Emirates....Won 2, Drew 2, Lost 3. Hardly Arsenal home dominance for the last 7 seasons is it? I think we'll at least get a draw.

BTW - just below on the Recent Articles list - "Bent and Fonz both depart on loans" sounds like an episode of Top Cat, don't it?? Referee Dibble tomorrow, no doubt.
