Bacuna Looking Forward To New Beginning

Bacuna Looking Forward To New Beginning

Leandro Bacuna has said Aston Villa are a new beginning, a fresh start and a big challenge for him as it's such a step up from what he's used to.

Speaking to the Official Site Bacuna said he was delighted to be part of Paul Lambert's plans with him building a young team, and he said he's looking to adjust as quickly as he can and more importantly make a big difference to the teams fortunes on the pitch.

'I'm looking forward to being part of this young, hungry team we have at Villa. The manager is trying to create a new generation, to build something and improve us all. I'm up for the challenge. You have to show the very best of yourself, that's what I will be looking to do.'

Bacuna says that his mentality is to prove himself at his new club, and he's not coming in expecting first team football, he knows he has to earn it, start at the bottom and make himself one of the manager's first names on the team sheet.

Good to see a bit of modesty and realism in a footballer!! I have one of them feelings that this lad will surprise us..(well i'm hoping they all do lets be honest) but he seems to show character!

Belhanda, no chance...looks far to flashy a w-anchor to be one of Lamberts signing, but then again, for every Ronaldo, there's a Djembax2!

Yeah I've got a good feeling about all the signings but this lad I think will be something special. Maybe not straight away but give it a bit of time.
