'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Goalkeeper Was Added By Lambert - Jed Steer

I wondered what happened to the rumours linking us with Norwich youngster, Jed Steer, but he has agreed to join us.

The 20 year old goalkeeper has agreed a pre contract with Villa which will take effect from July 1 when his contract with Norwich ends and he becomes a free agent.

Speaking to the Official Site Lambert explained that he would join up with Brad Guzan, Shay Given and Benjamin Siegrist for pre season training.

'Bringing in Jed will also add to the goalkeeping department and helps with everyone pushing one another, learning from one another and making everyone better and wanting to improve.'

Hopefully over the coming days we'll get to hear a little bit more from the manager and new goalkeeper about the move.

He has played a few England youth games so looks like he has some promise.
