Lichaj Joins Forest

Lichaj Joins Forest

Eric Lichaj will continue his career at Nottingham Forest after being released by the club earlier this month.

The 24 year old fullback struggled to get into Paul Lambert's thoughts with Matthew Lowton and Joe Bennett favoured in the two positions he had played for us previously.

Upon joining Forest Lichaj did comment that he was disappointed not to get more game time last term, having made only 23 appearances.

It means Eric leaves us having made 41 appearances for us since joining back in 2008, and he scored on 2 occasions.

A good, solid pro with a great attitude, just a pity that he's missing that ounce of quality to be a regular prem starter. Possibly a bit too good for Forest but not far off his level.

Goodbye. Good luck. Would have liked him to stay as part of the squad.

Best of luck to him. At one point I really believed he would go on to be a great full back for us. I'd still rather have him at left back than Bennett anyway. Seems strange we didn't keep him around as back up, his wages were low, he he was versatile and decent back up. Obviously lambert has other targets in kind

I liked him. Good solid tackler and not afraid to put himself about. Best of luck.

I to am surprised that he was not kept on as a squad player. The only thing I can think of is that he wanted to go elsewhere to get regular playing time. Best of luck Eric. hope to see your career flourish at nottingham

Top pro, who always gave his all. Respected the club and the fans. Forest are getting a good player there. All the best, Eric.
