'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bacuna Speaks Roncrete & Improvements

New signing Leandro Bacuna has said how he'll enjoy playing with, and not against, Ron Vlaar because he's a 'hero' back in Holland.

Speaking to the Official Site Bacuna spoke of facing Vlaar back in the Eredivisie and he also believes that having his compatriot alongside him will help him to settle into life at Villa:

'I have played against him and he made a very good step to come to Aston Villa and now I am following in his footsteps. He's a really nice guy and has the attitude to be captain and I think we can hang around together a lot. It's nice for me to have someone who can help me settle in.'

Moving on from Holland's 'hero' Bacuna talks about himself, his new beginning at the club and how he knows he has to improve and step up to earn his place in the squad:

'The Premier League for me is the top level, you have to improve yourself and it's going to be a difficult task but we have to fight and show ourselves. It's a new beginning, I'm going to do my best to try and make a lot of goals and be a fan favoutite.'

If he performs how everybody hopes and does make the adjustment early doors his last comment could be the first to come true. Going to be an interesting start to the season again as these lads are going to need time to bed in, but getting them in early so they can have a full pre season will certainly go far in helping them gel.
