Mystery Left Back Revealed?

Mystery Left Back Revealed?

There are reports linking us with 22 year old Antonio Luna today.

As we know it was said that Paul Lambert had a mystery signing up his sleeve a few days ago, and many of us believed it could well be in the goalkeeping department, but reports in Spain suggest otherwise now.

Seville's left back has a year to run on his current contract but he isn't first choice and spent last season on loan at Majorca.

Reports suggest we are vying to tie up a £1.5million deal for him.

We shall wait and see won't we.

If its true then looks more of a gamble than his other signings maybe. He has been on loan for each of the last two seasons and played last year with Hutoon on the other side of the defence as they got relegated.

Does seem a bit strange but I tend to trust PL more, so he must see something.

He sees competition for places. Cheap enough to take punt that, if it, works will be lucrative. Is it the accent or his less than effusive manner? I neither know or care. All I do know is that when that confidence is missing, a la McLeish, is as obvious and infectious as impetigo.

Diego Capel (used to play for sevilla) posted on twitter to Antonio Luna "good luck on your new adventure in the premiere" (originally in spanish)... make of that what you will Wouldn't be be surprised if Stevens leaves and this guy will be second choice LB with the hope that it will force Bennett to play better

What is it about Villa and LB' s? Let's hope Lambert can fire him up. Surely, he has to be better than Bennett. Let's hope.

not exactly the quality we need to replace Bennett but then if he's being signed to be second choice he would have to be really bad.
