Lambert Tips Gabby For England Recall

Lambert Tips Gabby For England Recall

Paul Lambert has said that Gabby has a good chance of an England recall following his form of late.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Lambert said that he believed Gabby deserved a recall following his end of season form, both in terms of starting to find the net a bit more regularly again, but also because of his all round game improvement:

'I think the way he is playing indicates they could maybe look at him again. He's been playing well of late, he's an absolute handful. It's up to Roy what he wants to do, but I certainly wouldn't disregard it.'

It's certainly tempting. At the start of the season you really couldn't see it, but lately Gabby has been more back to his best, despite the wider role he's played in and he seems to have grown into that role well.

I think he's probably got more chance of a recall this time round than in many previous England games.

No. Keep him fresh for the Villa. Go and have a holiday Gabi and come back and bag 20 for us next season.

Doesn't he always get injured as soon as he gets the call? Fingers crossed they leave him be. (selfish I know).
