'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vlaar Hails Duo

Ron Vlaar has paid tribute to Brad Guzan and Andi Weimann following their performances against QPR.

Speaking to the Official Site after what I assume was a well earnt celebration following the game (well we all did!) Vlaar tagged Guzan as 'brilliant' following his string of saves and Andi 'amazing' for his full blooded effort in the second half.

'Brad saved us in the first half with some amazing saves and in the second half Andi was really fantastic. Brad was world class. He is the man of the match for me because if he didn't make the saves, we couldn't win the game. The victory was vital, we worked really hard for it. To win two weeks in a row is so important for us. Everyone is very happy, pleased, relieved, and proud. It was a great day for us.'

Well it was the kick we needed with back to back wins wasn't it, and I think everyone has enjoyed their days since the full time whistle went, even though I think it's fair to say we were all dribbling, wibbling and slightly emotionally unstable during that spell of injury time, but it's not over yet, and the team can rightly take a boost of confidence from our last two results.

Now get on the training pitch, and cut out the silly errors we are still making, improve further and keep showing that passion and determination we saw in the second half. Give us 90 minutes of that and we'll be laughing.

I'm still not sure I'd be laughing exactly, but I know what you mean.
