Redknapp Said The Pressure Was All On Us! Updated
I seem to remember a certain Harry Redknapp saying before the game that QPR were under no pressure, and that was all on our lads. Seems our lads responded to it and stepped up a gear to cope with it.

Quite funny really as he nows describes Gabby Agbonlahor's goal on the stroke of half time as knocking his pressureless QPR 'for six'.

Just got to add this in as it's even more comical.

Erm...Zamora left at half time, AFTER we had already equalised.
When did QPR score, 23 minutes. Who did we lose on 20 minutes, meaning the replacement had to get up to speed with the game and it was Bennett who unfortunately played the sloppy pass for their goal and who wasn't quick enough to get the block in on Jenas. (fair do's his assist for Weimann's goal balanced that out!).
But talk about scraping the barrell for excuses.
You lost, man up. Who you going to blame next, your dog? Maybe not.

Did he fall asleep or something? Judging by BBC Sport and checking every 5 minutes on the score, they barely had the ball let alone deserved to be 4-0 up.

To be fair we only had one shot in the first half and that was the goal lol Guzan also pulled off 2-3 utterly beautiful saves so QPR could've gone in ahead - but that's why you have keepers, to keep them out! :-)

Guzman made 3 world class saves but we were by far the better side except for a few minutes after they scored against the run of play. Harry must have been watching the same game as some of the "fans" that phoned in to tom Ross after the game

Arry, wot a plonker you are. Great to see the fight in our team to come from being behind and getting pegged back at 2-2 to actually kick on and win it. 3 more wins and avoid defeat against little Dave Whelans little team and we are sound. On recent evidence I am much more optimistic. Fleet Street and Sky Sports News, you wont be seeing the demise of our great club just yet. UTV.

Oh for sure Guzan kept us in it first half but that is football isn't it? We scored more than them in the end, simples! But they could have been out of sight if not for brad.
The Fear
I don't think it's as cut and dry as Harry would have it. We created great openings and chances in the first half and we didn't take them. That goal on the stroke of half time did for us and we never really recovered performance-wise. In the second half I thought we were out played, simple as really.

Can't believe anyone can argue that we didn't deserve to be behind at the break! they battered us first half tbh and but for guzan it could have been 3-0 easy, that Bosingwa freekick was really unlucky not to go in aswell because it hit the inside of the post and then it got scrambled out somehow!! however second half different story and the Townsend (who's going to be a great player) was against the run of play!! i think scoring our third goal was where we really showed character!!! ALSO we should 100% have had an indirect freekick about 3 yards out from goal after Bosingwa made a back pass in the early first half!!

Arry was trying be clever with his young side and pressure of the crowd snipe. Well Arry, we know what they are, where they have been and where they are now as we have been there with them. We are all on the journey and so proud of the villa faithful. Bar the loose ball from Bennett for their goal and that blind header we were with the boys all the way. Cheering the corners and throw in decisions, all of us one unit- Brilliant. Let's keep going, we have come along way this season and the signs are encouraging. Eye on the prize. UTV

Updated - It seems QPR may have lost because Boby Zamora went off at halftime. Surely we can then say having to rejig organisation and get Joe Bennett up to match speed is the perfect excuse for us conceding the first goal considering it came three minutes after he left the pitch.

Goalkeeping is part of the sport of football. QPR had three decent chances to score in the first-half which were met with world class saves. That's because we have a world class keeper who is part of the team. QPR were not good enough to beat him with those efforts, hence why you weren't 3-0 up. We should also have had a free-kick from five yards out and converted our dominating play...which we did in the second half, which is why we won the game, partly owing to your lousy defending. Awful excuses.

Arry's having a laugh!... He says "We lost Rob Green..." It's a good job they have a "reserve" keeper of the like of Ceasar then isn't it........

QPR had two good chances (I would expect any premier keeper to save the third) which I believe were from set pieces. There is no way 3-0 (never mind 4!) would have been a fair reflection on the first half's play. Both teams were equally dull until Bennett gifted them an opener, after which they took control without ever really creating much. Seconds half, we were in total control. Great game, get over it bacon face.

Zamora this and Zamora that!! He has said that before many times that his team isn't good without Zamora, here is my answer to that 1. Zamora is average at best 2. If you think that's the case arry then you've spent an awful lot of money on nothing..... again. 3. Times have changed and arry hasn't got the tactical nouse 4. WE PLAYED YOU OFF THE PARK 5. UTV!!!

Riding your luck is one thing. The keeper keeping the ball from going past him into the net and the strikers striking the ball into the other team's net is called doing your job. Our lads did their jobs better than theirs. Simple. More or the same please. Saints did it to the scousers. Our turn next.

Though I know that Wigan have the 2 games in hand, your now six point advantage is massive and perhaps on form, it is sunderland that should be more worried. would the idea of seeing MoN get relegated with them, hold any appeal with thoughts of past fall outs?

I hate harry as much as the next man but he is only stating facts. They should have been 3 or 4 up at half time. First half we were completely woeful and I'd have had no arguments about us going down on that performance. We struck lucky with the late goal, our 1st attempt on goal all half. Losing Zamora was definately a blow for them as he was causing us all sorts of problems. I can fully understand his comments.

anyone would be bitter after such a crucial defeat. he knew like everyone else that this was a game they had to win. i don't like how he didn't give us any credit for the second half and i think he exaggerated things but to be fair its probably hard not to be like that in a moment like that. i still think Wenger is the worst loser in the league though!

Guzan was outstanding again yesterday! He's 10 times the player he was when we released him, so lucky to have him back.

GOD I HATE ARRY SO MUCH. Worst loser and winner in the league by a mile. His team just did not take their chances, Guzan was equal to them and we took ours. Simple as that. Arry get out of the division, you dont belong here and take your Jeremy Kyle version of Man City with you.

As already stated oxford spur like all the teams in trouble do not care so long as we get out of it. Sunderland are another big club with a great bunch of fans just unfortunate that MON is their manager however we have moved on,so it doesnt matter who drops when your down there so long as its not your team.
