One Hell Of A Ride
That's how Paul Lambert has described his feeling as we head into the final stretch of the season.
In fact the word 'hell' appears a couple of times in this interview - cart and handbasket comes to mind for me.
Speaking to the Official Site Lamert repeated that he expected the season to have a few twists and turns, but he remains confident that we can overcome the relegation battle and secure our Premiership future.
'There are 33 points available and that's a hell of a lot of points to play for. I've said before it's going to be one hell of a ride to the end of the season that's for sure. It's never a dull moment, it never is!'
Dull is how many fans would describe some of games this season actually!
Lambert does admit frustration at the points we've dropped, adding that we could be comfortably midtable had we not lost late leads, but again he keeps faith with how we are performing at the moment and he expects our 'results' luck to change sooner rather than later.
Problem is we are now way into the later rather than sooner already from previous rabble rousing speeches and it seems the only people confident remain the manager and the players when talking in interviews.
Probably best in this interview he avoided talking about our opposition isn't it.

You can always look optimistic about the future games and we always do and hope for a sneaky draw but Man City I can see us losing that one and probably by some scoreline if Vlaar isn't back.
If only we brought in more experience we would probably would have secured them games we were in front by two goals.

33 points is a hell of a lot to play for??? We've already "played" for 81, how many do we have? 24! 24 out of 81! The ride has been less than comfortable IMHO. If it was the Downhill at the Winter Olympics, we be in contention for the Gold Medal as we're getting down to the bottom faster than anyone else!!!!

hasn't really been one hell of a ride has it? It has been an incompetently set up ride and there has been only one direction. Down. Sorry, up and down results = a hell of a ride, this has been far from that. Hate to be negative but come on.
