Weimann, We Will Fight For Fans & Club To Stay Up

Well, they are talking a good game and saying we`ll stay up!

Our last poll was pretty much split on whether we`ll stay up or go down. See: Staying Up Or Going Down?

Now Andreas Weimann, who is one of a few players who CAN say what they want off the pitch because they put in the shift ON the pitch, told Sky Sports

'We're all confident we can get out of this."

He says that the way Villa played against Arsenal gives hope.

He goes on, this time on www.avfc.co.uk

'We will fight for each other, for the fans, for the club and do everything we can to stay up.'

Get Man City out of the way (anything from that is a bonus but lets be honest... and no, I don`t need to finish that sentence!)

You`ll have piled through the fixtures and agonised over and over as well no doubt. The MUST WIN games are obviously Reading and QPR. Win those and ...... Liverpool later that month is one of those, we might get something out of it 'but`. Then, ignoring Man Utd, April really is v teams who should be well within our grasp, a few wins and a couple of draws and surely we`ll have pulled away?

Gulp.

Weimann said the team were down after conceding late v Arsenal but they will pick themselves up.

'We have eleven games to go and we will do everything to get out of this. We're confident of turning it around. We'll go into the Man City game trying to win it. The place will be rocking. The fans have been brilliant. They've stuck with us all season and I'm sure they'll be behind us.

And what does our manager have to say?

He told www.birminghammail.co.uk after the Arsenal game

"The way they are playing, honestly, I can`t ask for any more.'

Adding, "The confidence was there from the last few weeks, we always knew we would create chances. So if the lads keep playing like that then that`s all I can ask for. We have belief in ourselves that we will always be okay."

Strangely he adds, "I don`t get caught up in the whole issue."

How can you not get caught up in the fact we are in a relegation battle?! lol I`m sure he meant it a bit differently to that!

So Weimann says they were down after the Arsenal game yet Lambert said there was no adverse reaction. Strange

Oh Andi, if everyone else was as committed as you we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

probably Player of the Season. Benteke has scratched himself because of his agents comments and his own silence thereof.

Yep. You can't get caught up in the fact that we're in a relegation dogfight and you can't ask for anymore out of your team than zero points. Lambert is some kind of football genius. Has Weimann signed a new contract yet? One of the few i'd hate to see us lose.

I agree 100% with you lurman..... well said!

Do you remember McLoser's comments last season "you cant expect to come here and win" lol. Well we certainly had a go at them this time!

I dont think a loss to mancity then a few wins and some draws will oull us away at all wigan and reading are picking up points. we have to start elwinning games and as silly as this sounds if we want to pull away we have to beat mancity. if we dont get 6pts from qpr and reading i honestly believe we will finish 20th. I just dont see the light.
colavfc
Shame he just rejected a new contract (although it sounds like the offer was rubbish!)
