Lambert - Break Has Worked Wonders

Paul Lambert has said our fortnight break has done the players the world of good and allowed them to refocus in training.

Speaking to the Official Site as the players finished preparations for Arsenal, Lambert said the break had come at the right time, especially after the West Ham win.

'Because we beat West Ham, it's been good. We have worked with the lads and the break has done us the world of good. It gets people refreshed, there's time to enjoy the win and now the next game is on. They have worked hard, last week was one week where we thought we could work them harder. We have done a lot of analysing and looking at things too.'

Lambert also said that Charles N'Zogbia has recovered from his thigh problem and is fit to face Arsenal, and he's also welcomed Gabby Agbonlahor and Karim El Ahmadi back to training, and they too are in contention for the match.

I have never known a team suffer with many injuries as us!

Jumpers for goalposts. BTW can anyone give me a Google Translate link for this piece of Dilbert-ese ref Benteke: ""As far as I'm concerned, the guy is here and he isn't going anywhere until I say so or not really."

Waffle, which will we judged by tomorrow's result, where I fully expect a win. One that we'd have been more likely to have got without a break, imo.

I mean he is going to say that isn't he. What else can he say? "It's been *****. Wished we'd played last week." Stop talking, Villa. Start winning more football matches.

Unfortunately the Gooners have just come off two home defeats so we are playing them at a very bad time, they will be more fired up to prove the critics wrong. Lets go there and play a 90 minute attacking game, no defending a lead. UTV

Wonders............... Yeah, I wonder where the next win is coming from!

Our non-existing defence will disappear again against Arsenal. We were not exactly looking the part against W Ham and almost gave it away. I am too frightened to watch. I always look past the next match and the future looks gim

Don't concede for 20 minutes and watch those North London prawn sandwich eating w@nkers get on the backs of the players! We can get something from this as long as we are disciplined and tight. Unfortunately, disciplined and tight has been our problem for the past few years!

Words will achieve nothing, and while I appreciate that positivity ha to be the name of the game for everyone connected to AVFC, it has to be the performances, and more importantly the results, that do the talking for us between now and seasons end.
