QPR Visit Set For Acorns Day

Villa have officially confirmed that March 16 and the visit of QPR will play host to our annual Acorns Day.

Last season against Fulham, it was hoped we would raise £50,000 on the day, and thanks to the efforts of all, the total came in £4000 higher than the target and was enough to fund a hospice for seven days.

This year Acorns celebrates it's 25th Anniversary of providing the care and support it does to children and their families and it is hoped we will raise a similar amount on the day this time round.

CEO Paul Faulkner said:

'This is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our partnership with Acorns and to support this wonderful charity during its 25th anniversary year. This is a relationship that really matters to the club and it matters for all the right reasons. Last year was a real success and we hope that the fundraising activities around Acorns Day will again make a big difference to Acorns by providing the support they so urgently need.'

JustTextGiving at half time and for those fans not able to attend the match will be available for donations on AVFC12 £3 to 70070.

This partnership with Acorns is one of the best things this club has ever done and makes me so proud of our club for helping the kids, really terrific stuff!
