Another weird sort of selection. Bowery starting? No Gabby? Wa hoping either Sylla or Dawkis would of statred. Once again, nowidth...... I give up!

Too soon for Bowery. He looked completely out of his depth and was taking up space someone useful (Sylla) could have taken. I thought Delph was good EXCEPT he over hits it almost EVERY time he gets the ball, if it's not his first touch, it will be his second or third. Then he has to overstretch and lunge in to get it back - hence bookings. Don't they have coaches who can work on this with him?

I thought Bowery did okay, simple passing, nothing spectacular. I think he'll be okay. Hard working performance from Villa today, maybe they have got the fight in them.

Credit where credits due...good subs from the manager..if we'd have lost some would have called him a tinkerer....

How cool was Benteke with that penalty? We must hold on to him.

Col you saw a different game to me. Delph's first touch is awful but he played really well today, as for Dawkins I was hoping to see a flying winger but every opportunity he had to hit space or take on the last man he turned back or looked to get rid of it.

Thank f*** for that! Not pretty, worse than last week, for example, but the 3 points were really important. Even when WHU 'scored', I felt ok, they didn't seriously threaten most of the game and I felt we'd hold on. But massive save by Guzan from Nolan right at the death - wasn't so confident when Carroll's carer pulled the trigger, I must say!
