'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre West Ham Injury News

Paul Lambert is only really worrying about Ashley Westwood ahead of the West Ham match.

The midfielder has been suffering with a bug this week, so it's unsure if he'll pass the fitness test to be involved.

Karim El Ahmadi and Fabian Delph are both expected to be fine after shaking off knee and anke injuries.

Richard Dunne, as we know, now has another issue on his recovery and Paul Lambert has explained that he's off for a meeting with the surgeon for a check up and he's expecting an update come the end of the week.

forget about Dunne, we've already got rid of Warnock and Collins (both of the same ilk some say) so why would Dunne be any more useable? In fact, I'd argue he was less fit for the job than the other two.
The Fear
Think if Westwood doesn't make it, Sylla will definately start. At least he has an extra 24 hours.

It wouldbe interesting to see him start all right ..i get the impression that he is this physical enforcer type guy but i hope he has a little more that that, that he can pass and keep a cool head and is at least a little comfortable on the ball.

I'd like to see Lambert start with the same line-up that began last weekend's game at Goodison, but obviously if Ashley Westwood is unable to take the field, then one change at least will have to be made. I thought that young Ashley played particularly well against Everton, and he would I think be missed on Sunday.

Drop Clark! Otherwise it'll be another Carroll hat trick! - really fear for our defence ... Especially against a big Sam side. This weekend has gone for us so far.. Need all 3 points. Nothing else will do.
