'If It's Football, It's Vital'

KEA Feels He Has Improved

Karim El Ahmadi has said he believes he has improved as a player through his experience of the league's win at all costs mentality.

Speaking to the E&S now he has 19 Premier League starts under his belt, the midfielder believes the increased pace and pressure for results, is making him a better player in the long run.

'I have learned a lot about English football from that first game. I have sensed here it is all about winning. When I was playing in Holland, if you lost, the Dutch players would say 'we played well there' but here it's doesn't matter how you play as long as you win. I have developed a stronger mentality towards winning which is a positive.'

Shame KEA hasn't got much actual experience of winning to go with that mentality.

As is par for the course in playing interviews, KEA also adds the team are upbeat about pulling away from the relegation zone and they all know what they have to do to achieve that. They remain together and committed etc.

"here it's doesn't matter how you play as long as you win". I think you have teken that the wrong way Karim, it doesn't mean you can just play like ***** and it doesn't matter.

Well.. ahem.. ok. Hope he has some way to go improvement wise personally. Thought Makoun looked more solid but still hoping all the players we have click at some point. SOON!
The Fear
Must of been pretty crap before then.........

I think he is out of his depth a bit in the Premier League, gets bullied off the ball and hurried into poor passes. May become a decent squad player ? Sylla looks far more adapted to the Prem, his size and strength is good, hope he is typically French and settles asap, we need him to. UTV

Completly different game the prem to Holland. He (and the other new siginings) has had 6 months to adapt. In any normal job you'd be up for your probation review now.....time to step up.

I have to say that I've been disappointed with his performances. After his pre-season showings, I thought that we'd got quite a decent player on our hands, but sadly he has struggled with the pace of premier league football, and hasn't as yet brought anything to the table. Like many of his fellow squad members, he really needs now to step up to the plate and begin producing consistently. I hope that he's up to the task.
