Dawkins Talks The Talk

Dawkins Talks The Talk

Simon Dawkins has continued saying all the right things since joining the club and now he's talking about the Villa Park experience ahead of what he hopes will be his starting debut.

Speaking to the Official Site the 25 year old said one of the things he was looking forward to when he realised he had the chance to move here, was playing at B6 and experiencing the atmosphere of the stadium:

'I can't wait for Sunday. It will be amazing. I am really eager to get our there and sample the atmosphere at Villa Park. I am really exciting about it. The Villa Park atmosphere is supposed to be amazing, but that's not a surprise because it's a a huge club with loyal fans.'

Dawkins adds that he knows about the Villa experience from our former loan signing Robbie Keane, who he said has talked fondly about his experiences at the club.

I've said it before, but wouldn't it be GREAT if this guy, this practically unknown, ignited us and helped lift us to safety?! We can only hope.

I think the same as Lambert, I think he will surprise a few in the next month or so. Looks very talented and has trickery in abundance. Can he adapt ? hope so and if we make him feel welcome he may even stay ;) UTV

If he performs as well as he talks, then we might just have the new Garrincha on our hands. I hope that he gets the opportunity, and I hope that he grabs that opportunity with both hands when it arrives. He sounds exactly what we need to provide that bit of pace and width, and with a bit of luck he might just prove to have an important role to play this season as we fight for our premier league future.
