Paul Lambert believes that new signing Yacouba Sylla will give us an energy we lack in the middle of the park. Lambert was pleased with the signs from his debut against Everton, and he told the Official Site: Sylla Will Bring Us Energy

Fair bit on Simon Dawkins so I`ve done a bit of a round up: Positivity About Simon Dawkins

And the player himself talks (apparently he can sing and dance as well!). Simon Dawkins has talked more about his injury hell, and said he feels blessed to have a chance to kick his career on at a club like Villa. Speaking to the Official Site Dawkins explained that his injury experience means he now truly values every moment he has in football, and he thinks the mental strength he has gained will stand him in good stead for the league. Paul Lambert has said that we'll see a much better Villa over the coming weeks and next season, as long as we can get through this rocky spell. Easy to be sarcastic and point out the present is a bit more important than a potential future, but on this I do agree but only if these lads get a lift in belief. I just maintain he could've made this season far easier, whilst still having an eye on how some of these young lads will grow together in the future. Speaking to the Official Site Lambert repeated that we would take the positives from Everton and move on, because he believes we are a real threat up front, even if we remain sloppy at the back: Lambert Looks To The Future

Karim El Ahmadi has said he was pleased with what he saw from Yacouba Sylla in training, and he thinks he's going to be a big asset for us. Speaking to the Official Site following Sylla's debut as a sub against Everton, KEA said: KEA Welcomes Sylla Competition

Shaun Teale has said modern day footballs don't seem to want to get their hair dirty, and well, it's about time our defence did! Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Teale talked about the philosophy our defence had under Big Ron and how it seems to be now: Teale Offers Some Defensive Advice

Gary Gardner has told avfc.co.uk he can, at last, see the light at the end of the tunnel following his injury set back. The Villa midfielder says he is 'buzzing` now he is approaching fitness and says the experience of his last similar injury helped him through. 'The knee feels strong - stronger than ever. I feel so confident. Hopefully when I'm fully back at it, I can push on in my career. I am a young lad. I'm getting through it and I know I will be good to go in the future.' villa-in-oz: Even as I am writing this, my mind is boggling as to what is happening at Aston Villa Football Club. I am so frustrated, the only way I can get rid of it is to write something down. So the questions is......where is Aston Villa headed. See: Where Are We Headed?

Villa Park has remained a very special sporting arena from the day the club moved here nearly 116 years ago. And from Sunday, this famous venue assumes even greater significance as it officially becomes a carbon-neutral stadium. The plan is to cut energy use, reduce waste and minimise greenhouse gas emissions in the stadium. See: www.avfc.co.uk

Carbon neutral hey? Does that include the methane that leeks out the fat Guys ass who sits in front of me then? The blokes like a trumpet!

Sustainability is what I do for a living and it pains me to see the villa throwing away money on a carbon offsetting project. It is dead money and could have been far better spent genuinely making VP more sustainable (which would have saved money). I applaud the intentions but those who are running things at villa need to get a reality check.
