'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sylla Will Bring Us Energy

Paul Lambert believes that new signing Yacouba Sylla will give us an energy we lack in the middle of the park.

Lambert was pleased with the signs from his debut against Everton, and he told the Official Site:

'He will do great for us once he adapt. He did all right considering he's only just come here. I think he's got loads of energy, that's the aim, him trying to make his mark. He only trained on Friday, but once he adapts, he'll do great.'

Well we know one thing for sure, he doesn't mind getting stuck in!

I know he wasn't on for very long but he really looked off the pace and overawed by the whole thing. He definitely looked a handful though and I hope he gets up to speed quickly.

Surprise surprise Syllah here, and are you ready with your answers to my three questions? (i) Is our date to the Championship? (ii) Will you teach me how to keep picking myself up? (iii) Can we get a new defensive coach?

he liked to tackle that is for sure! the ref didn't like his tackles though! One warning and then a yellow. Like all young players, will need time to settle in

Holman gives us energy. Afraid we need more than just that.

Lets hope he picks the pace up quickly as a defensive midfielder our defense defintley need someone in front of them to break up attacks. Half the problem with our defense is teams "walk" through our weak midfield.

Merlin teams walking through the midfield I can cope with we'd have a much better goals against column and points column f teams actually had to other walking through midfield. Instead simple balls into the box of any description especially set pieces cause our defence to crumble.

Got to agree re the corners etc there seems to be a total fear of being able to cope with it.AVb&b

Energy alone means nothing. Bennett for example has plenty of energy but is total crap.
