2big4seatswannastand asks, would you rather be run like QPR? I know we are in difficult times. It has never been more embarrassing to be a Villa fan. Supporters of virtually every other team, taking turns to twist the knife with the latest observation on what's wrong at Villa, or even worse, the latest joke doing the rounds about our once proud club. But I don't believe we have the bleakest prospects. See: Would You Rather Be Run Like QPR?

Mat Kendrick at The Birmingham Mail has some interesting quotes from Paul Lambert. Looks like a 'not my fault guvnor` type of thing and certainly points the fingers to Randy Lerner. Putting aside his mad tactics, strange formations that aren`t working and all that this season, he talks of wages. See: Paul Lambert Points To Randy Lerner?

Paul Lambert has said new loan signing Simon Dawkins could be a surprise package for us this season. Speaking to the Official Site Lambert explained that he believed that Dawkins had the potential to 'surprise a lot of people' during his second half of the season spell with us. See: Dawkins Will Surprise People

Paul Lambert has said that Yacouba Sylla will bring some steel to our midfield and he should add a bit of bite. Speaking to the Official Site it sounds like Sylla could be in line for his debut against Everton, as it seems Lambert is expecting big things from him. See: Sylla Will Add Some Bite To Midfield

Glensider: So much of what occurs to us as gospel in the wee small hours, all too often appears somewhat absurd in the cold light of day. Walking, as I came to decide when I first took it up in a semi-serious sort of way, is the best occupation to allow for thinking. Better than sitting on the couch, or in an armchair when your thoughts tend to send you drifting into sleep, better than when laying in bed at night, when and where the post-midnight madness distorts your mindset.
