Unoial Villa News...

villa2stoke1 says: 'The record is there to be beaten' This is my first post. I have followed the forum for a long time but have never been tempted to join in the happy banter until these last few weeks. But I can no longer remain silent in the face of the appalling negativity of the comments I am reading from my fellow Villa fans. It's time to bring some balance to the forum by pointing out that our club is on the threshold of a remarkable achievement. See: The Record Is There To Be Beaten :(

Villa away to Everton: Mystic Mug Continues His Miserable Predictions

So then: How Accurate Were The AVFC Transfer Links?

Updated: All The Signings Under Randy Lerner (updated)

Steve Wade: Surprise, surprise - baptism by fire! I am not sure whether there are any players out there called Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego but if Randy Lerner wanted to send an unequivocal message to the fans, about his master-plan, I am sure he would have signed them in yesterday's transfer window. With all the world and a dog called Robbie, telling us that Lambert's team of promising and unpromising youngsters desperately need some experienced players around them to steady the ship, it was a big surprise for most fans, to find that Villa were intent on doing the exact opposite. See: Something For The Weekend (412)

And the transfers that did happen:

No surprise, surprise jokes from me I'm afraid. New signing Yacouba Sylla is certainly saying the right things, let's hope he fits into the team with as much ease. Let's face it, we need him to sadly given our position in the league. See: Sylla Speaks

Well, we had January to find out Randy Lerner's intentions for Villa and now we have the answer it seems. Others in the relegation fight have done business, we have brought in a player from the French second division and have now LOANED a player from Spurs. Simon Dawkins . See: Words Fail Me As We Loan Spurs Reject

Now confirmed by Villa, we have some words from the man and a bit about his history. See: More On & From Dawkins
